e great strength of a History and Archaeology degree is its intellectual breadth and flexibility which makes it attractive to almost any employer who wants analytical and lateral thinkers who can adapt to any work in almost any intellectual environment. There is nothing to be lost by studying history and archaeology and a great deal to be gained. It is worth remembering that more specialised and vocational degrees are much more subject to market demand, and much less marketable outside their own subject area.
