Bachelor of Engineering(Honours) in Maritime(Naval Architecture)

Course Description

Not all engineering is about buildings and city infrastructure. Maritime engineering is critical to society. Around 90% of world trade is carried by the international shipping industry. Across the globe a web of offshore infrastructure supports the delivery of oil and gas supplies that power the world’s transportation. Maritime engineers are the people who keep these vital vessels and systems working. Through a joint venture with Australian Maritime College (AMC), an institute of the University of Tasmania (UTAS), New Zealand students now have the opportunity to study maritime engineering. The degree programme begins with two years of study at AUT and for your final two years you transfer to the AMC in Australia.
