Study a variety of electrical and mechanical engineering disciplines both practically and theoretically. When you graduate, you'll be qualified to register with the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) as an incorporated engineer. The core modules cover key areas of engineering including control systems, power systems, signalling and stress and dynamics, as well as the professional skills you’ll need as an engineer, including project management and engineering maths/modelling. We can offer you excellent facilities, including a well-equipped computer suite, electronics workshop and materials testing lab. During the project module you’ll be able to produce an engineering design or product of your own. By the time you graduate you’ll have enhanced your technical skills and knowledge in your engineering discipline, as well as your ability to design, develop and build innovative systems, processes and solutions to budget and user specification. You’ll also have a strong set of professional skills in fields such as problem analysis and solving, project organisation, self-development, use of engineering systems and multidisciplinary team-working.
