Course Description

Become a leader in business by combining the technical skills of engineering along with the ability to manage people and projects. Management Engineering was created in response to the need for graduates who are trained in management and in engineering. You'll study the core subjects of an engineering degree while gaining the skills required to work with diverse groups of people. Management engineers work in every industry, from manufacturing to telecommunications, banking to healthcare. Through your courses and co-op work terms, you'll gain the background to understand, design, and set up management systems that will improve efficiency in any organization. You'll gain a solid foundation in management, engineering, science, and mathematics as well as specialized knowledge in 3 theme areas: Information Technologies - understand how technology is used to support effective decision-making Management of Technology - study accounting, finance, economics, organizational behaviour, and problem-solving Operations Research/Supply Chain Management - plan the efficient flow of goods from where they're made to where they're used.
