IMESS is the leading two-year programme in comparative area studies that helps you to develop in-depth knowledge and understanding of Central, Eastern and South-Eastern Europe, the Baltics, Russia, the Caucasus and Central Asia. You can choose between four tracks: Economics and Business, Politics and the International Economy, Politics and Security, and Nation, History and Society. In addition to discipline-specific modules, all students follow a spine of interdisciplinary training and language tuition, and complete an extended research-based dissertation.
