The Spanish program strives to engage students in the processes of critical reading and writing, taking as the object of study the literary, linguistic, cultural and cinematic heritage of Spain and Latin America. To develop students’ communicative skills, the program provides instruction that assists students in acquiring and refining the ability to speak, understand, read and write the Spanish language. Moreover, the program’s literature courses enable students to examine a wide range of periods and genres, and to tailor their plans of study according to their specific interest.
