On this creative course you’ll learn from professional animators, experimenting with styles ranging from drawn animation through to stop-motion and CGI on your way to becoming a highly trained and multi-disciplined animation professional. Students study under the guidance of experienced professionals with a wealth of first-hand experience to share. The course focuses on building a well-rounded portfolio of skills that cover all stages of the animation process. This allows students to discover a specialism that suits them best. Students are given the opportunity to undertake an industry placement as part of the second-year curriculum and have access to regular live client briefs. Past students have and created work for clients including Universal Music, Lost Souls Club, Hey Negrita and Image FX. Our industry-standard facilities include traditional light-boxes, special effects workshops and green screen rooms. Students are also given free access to the Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office and a full suite of Autodesk software. Work placements and freelance projects are actively encouraged by the course teams. In recent years, students have worked with well-known brands including Glastonbury Festival, Bestival and TED.
