Nuclear Medicine Technology

Course Description

The nuclear medicine technologist uses safe, painless, cost-effective techniques both to image the body and treat disease. Nuclear medicine imaging is unique in that it documents organ function and structure, in contrast to diagnostic radiology, which is based upon anatomy. The Bureau of Labor Statistics projects that employment rates between 2000 and 2010 will grow faster than the average.
