The Chemistry program of study in the Honors Tutorial Program is designed to serve the varying needs of outstanding students who desire to work closely with dedicated faculty gain an in-depth exposure to state-of-the-art areas of chemistry and biochemistry. The curriculum is designed to be sufficiently flexible so that students are able not only to cover the basic material in all branches of chemistry, but also are able to spend a significant portion of their time engaged in research and advanced coursework in areas of particular interest. It is important for a student to discuss career goals and aspirations with the Director of Studies before starting the program and to outline, as completely as possible, the courses and timetable for their completion. In order to thrive in this program, the student is expected to actively pursue knowledge in the field of chemistry.
