Course Description

Duration: Three years full-time, Four years sandwich The UK hosts one of the largest and most competitive financial sectors in the world offering diverse career opportunities, attractive salaries and scope to work overseas. Our BA(Hons) Banking and Finance course is contemporary, applied and broad-based, combining specialist and practical Banking and Finance modules with relevant modules from Economics and Accounting. A number of the modules are accredited by the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) giving valuable exemptions from CIMA exams. This course covers various contemporary issues in banking and finance including principles and practice of modern banking, ethics and regulation. You will learn about tax and investment planning, credit, portfolio and risk management and many other practical and topical issues from a truly international perspective. You will also broaden your knowledge of research methodologies from both economics and banking and finance perspectives and explore new rules and regulations in the wake of the financial crisis.
