BA (Design) in Visual Communication

Course Description

Breathing life into images, text and concepts, turning them on their head and communicating them in a fresh way to a wide audience is the work of the BA Design - Visual Communication graduate. This four year honours degree programme is aimed at people who wish to become graphic designers, illustrators, typographers, and digital media designers. Through examining how image and text work together, you will learn how to design and visually communicate through print and digital media. The programme is principally studio based where you will work on a wide variety of projects that explore typography, image-making (illustration and photography) and digital media. Supporting the practice based studio work; critical theory introduces students to design practice and key issues in the history and theory of design.
