Through both classroom learning and hands on experience, you’ll become proficient in the three stages of event planning, including: * Pre Event Preparations: This includes everything that leads up to an event such as marketing, promotions, planning, design, budgeting, logistics, sponsorships, and fundraising. * Event Execution: Such as front-of-line duties, technical and artistic set up, directing of staff, vendors, and guests, troubleshooting, live reporting, and crisis management. * Post Event: Reporting and evaluation of an event to improve on performance and promotion for the next event – often called the “post mortem” in the planning industry. After one year in our event planning program, you will graduate with: * A full understanding of the business side of events, including project management, marketing, human resources, business communications, legal, finance, and talent management. * An action plan and the networking skills necessary to build your dream career in event planning and promotions. * A portfolio to showcase your real world experience as an event planner, to help you land your first job or contract after graduation.
