You'll also learn digital illustration techniques and how to create images and pages suitable for web publication, how to capture and edit video, and how to create and animate 2D and 3D objects. This work is complemented by a wide range of art and creative practices to further enhance your skills base.

Core Skills - Learn how to use a digital still camera, scan images, use image and illustration software to create and manipulate images, explore the use of pattern and texture, create a visual diary, learn design principles such as colour theory, pattern and texture, and computer file management. Print - Learn the production planning process for printed documents, create single and multipage documents for printing, and understand graphic design terms and principles. Motion - Gain an understanding of the production planning process for animated and video based stories, understand film and animation terms, make a short film, model a simple character and animate a supplied character. Interactive - Learn the production planning process for web-based projects, understand web and new media terms, use computer video editing software to compress for the web, produce a basic website and Flash animation.
