waterloo Biochemistry and the associated sub-discipline of biotechnology are two of the fastest-growing areas of science, and now you can combine our Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Biochemistry and Biotechnology with Conestoga College’s Biotechnology Technician Diploma and earn 2 degrees in 5 years! You’ll spend 4 years at Laurier and 1 year at Conestoga College. (Completing both degrees separately would normally take 6 years.) The Canadian Society for Chemistry has accredited the thesis option of this program.

This program will provide you with the practical and research skills needed to meet the demanding requirements of biotechnology, pharmaceutical and chemical companies, as well as biochemical and health science research and service laboratories. Our program also provides a strong educational background for those interested in continuing their studies at the graduate level in chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, biophysics, medicine, pharmacy, dentistry or other health science-related programs.
