WKU offers a B.F.A. in Performing Arts with a concentration in Music Theatre. Our hope is that students will graduate in four years with solid technique in acting, singing, and dancing. Our program and faculty offer a highly focused and multidisciplinary study in music theatre that requires students to be driven, organized, and time efficient. Students in the music theatre program will need to register for a full course load each semester because of the intense nature of the curriculum. Students in the music theatre program will need to register for a full course load each semester because of the intense nature of the curriculum. Our philosophy is that a combination of classroom and production experience contribute to the development of a well-rounded performer. We produce at least one mainstage musical each year. Students with a concentration in musical theatre are also encouraged to audition for dance concerts, plays, children's theatre productions, and student-created works. Students may audition and interview for admission into the B.F.A. in Performing Arts in their third semester.
