The Department of Theatre & Dance offers two majors for students of theatre, and 3 possible minors. Our BFA in Performing Arts degree provides both a broad study of theatre while also offering intensive pre-professional training in one of three concentrations: acting, music theatre, or theatre design & technology. Our minors in Theatre, Music Theatre, and Performing Arts Administration are intended to augment your studies in another major. Our B.F.A. (Bachelor of Fine Arts) is a pre-professional degree. It involves rigorous, conservatory-style training intended to hone your skills for entry into the professional world of the performing arts. Our B.F.A. involves both a broad introduction to all aspects of theatre and concentrated training in either Acting, Music Theatre, or Theatre Design and Technology. Admission into the B.F.A. in Performing Arts is by audition/interview in the third semester.
