Through the degree you will gain the skills to manage the technical aspects of the economic, social and environmental impacts of business activities – the Triple Bottom Line (TBL). The accounting courses provide a knowledge-base in financial accounting, management accounting, business law and finance. The sustainable business courses provide the knowledge and skills you require to meet the needs of organisations to strategically manage and report their environmental and social impacts on the community, as well as provide them with an understanding of the principles and practices associated with carbon accounting and carbon tax/emissions trading systems. In addition, the degree provides you with the necessary broad-based administrative and management skills required by organisations to compete in the global economic environment.

With your degree, you’ll have the power to strategically manage and report the environmental and social impacts of major companies and make a difference in the world as a carbon accountant, public accountant, chartered accountant, investment advisor or forensic accountant and work anywhere from major companies to small private businesses, in banks, building societies and the Government.
