BA Accounting and Business - The Flying Start Degree Programme

Course Description

This four-year programme gives you the benefit of going to university, getting paid work experience and fast-tracking your career. The programme has been developed in partnership with PwC, the UK’s leading professional services organisation, and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). Henley Business School is ranked first in the UK for Accounting and Finance and eighth in the UK for Business and Management (The Guardian University Guide 2015). This is an innovative, challenging degree designed to accelerate your route into employment and your progress towards a professional accountancy qualification. The application process for this degree includes a unique assessment day run together with PwC. This involves psychometric testing, a group exercise and an individual interview with the PwC team. By the time you graduate you will have completed modules that exempt you from 12 of the 15 ICAEW professional examinations. Graduates who achieve a 2:1 and perform well on placements will receive an offer of employment from PwC, with a premium starting salary. You will be approximately one year away from achieving full ACA Chartered Accountant status – putting you ahead of other graduates entering the accounting profession.
