Course Description

The MEng Aerospace Engineering provides you with a broad, well-balanced preparation for professional careers in the aerospace industry (design, development, testing and operation of vehicles and systems), as well as in other areas, such as research, management, technical development and finance. We aim to instill not just a theoretical knowledge of engineering science, but also a solid base of practical skills, an understanding of design, comprehension of the commercial world and competence in transferable skills (problem solving, team working, creativity and IT). The degree also provides an excellent route for individuals wishing to proceed to postgraduate education as quickly as possible. Years 1 and 2 of this course are common with those of the MEng in Aerospace Engineering. Subject to satisfactory performance, it is possible for you to transfer to one of our MEng courses.
