Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering

Course Description

Chemical engineers use chemical processes to find innovative and creative ways of producing goods that improve and protect human health, the environment, energy, materials and more. Our students acquire a breadth of knowledge, allowing them to become employed across a spectrum of industries, from traditional chemicals and petroleum-based processes to medical fields, including pharmaceuticals, tissue engineering, quantum dots for imaging and therapeutics, vaccines, genome engineering, and labs-on-a-chip diagnostics, as well as specialty industries like food and beverage processing, textiles, microelectronics, and alternative energy. Identify, formulate and solve complex engineering problems Gain hands-on research opportunities in biotechnology, biomedical and tissue engineering, and emerging energy systems Explore topics such as bioengineering, environmental engineering, computers, energy, materials science and microelectronics
