Course Description

The Higher Diploma in Accounting and Corporate Finance at UCC is a one year full-time conversion programme focused on the study of accounting and finance, and is available to graduates from all disciplines. As this programme is designed to cater for the needs of students with little or no accounting or finance knowledge, no previous exposure to either discipline is required to participate in this programme. The H.Dip. gives students a clear understanding of the key disciplinary areas in accounting and finance and a range of competences which are attractive to employers. The programme prepares graduates for immediate employment in accounting and financial services whilst also preparing graduates for further study at Masters level. On successful completion of the course graduates will secure significant exemptions from a number of examinations of the major accountancy bodies including Chartered Accountants Ireland.
