International Year One in Marketing

Course Description

The International Year One in Marketing route prepares international students for direct entry to the second year of a Marketing degree at the University of Huddersfield. Core modules will improve your English skills and strengthen your mathematics skills. They will also introduce students to study skills such as time management, presentation, essay writing and information sourcing. Core modules: English and Skills for University Study (ESUS) Study Skills in the British Environment Communication and Interpretation of Data Introduction to Economics Route modules Route modules on the other hand will enable students to develop a deep understanding of the subject area that they would like to study their degree in. In this case you will focus on marketing specific subjects. Route modules: Marketing: Theory and Practice 1 Introduction to Organisational Behaviour Marketing: Theory and Practice 2 Law and Accounting for Management Study Structure The course is three terms long. You will undertake directed study for 15 hours per week, and self study for 15 hours per week. Your progress will be assessed by a mixture of tests, course work, case study and exams. You will join any one of the following degrees at 2nd Year Level: * Marketing BA (Hons)
