The Master of Science in Management and Engineering in Computer Aided Mechanical Engineering" (MME-CAME) is an interdisciplinary program conducted by the RWTH Aachen University and the Dutch Maastricht School of Management (MSM). It comprises two semesters of lectures, exercises and practical courses in mechanical engineering at RWTH along with an eighteen-week management training at MSM during the third semester. To complete the Master's degree students have to achieve 48 ECTS of compulsory courses in engineering from which 5 ECTS make up a compulsory elective course. The management part consists of 45 ECTS of compulsory courses. A German Language course (2 ECTS) is also an integral part of the curriculum. The master thesis (25 ECTS) is to be completed in the fourth semester and can be written either at the RWTH Aachen University or the Maastricht School of Management. After successful completion of the program, the M.Sc. degree from the RWTH Aachen University will be awarded.

The Master course of study is an interdisciplinary industrial engineering program providing, on the one hand, in-depth knowledge and understanding of finite element methods, numerical methods, simulation, mechanics and software engineering, on the other hand, solid knowledge of the core management processes and an understanding of the major social and environmental issues that set the scene for international business operations in emerging economies. Graduates trained to understand both the art of management and complex engineering processes are increasingly sought after in today's industrial world. Be it in traditional manufacturing companies or in consulting firms, in financial institutions or in the food industry, in logistics companies or health care establishments – industrial engineers have the choice and enjoy the flexibility of working in many different professional areas. Not all industrial engineers spend their entire professional life working in interdisciplinary activities, but with the M.Sc. MME-CAME program you will gain the skill set and competencies to work at the interface of technology and business administration.
