Course Description

If you’d like to be on the creative side of advertising, Quincy University has the curriculum for you. Our minor in Advertising Production provides guided exploration of visual, verbal, and digital communication. A compact program of 18 credit hours (six courses), this minor will complement any major and will prepare you for a career that calls for the ability to communicate with clarity and high impact. Our Advertising Production minor focuses on courses that hone your versatility in shaping ideas—through images, words, or multimedia. You’ll master fundamental concepts in web design, copywriting, graphic design, desktop publishing, and public relations as you apply your learning to projects. Your instructors are fellows of the Coleman Foundation for Entrepreneurship who have mentored student teams in developing advertising, public relations, and media projects for the area community. Their experience is your advantage as you discover how the principles of advertising can be applied to the promotion of nonprofit agencies, education, and service programs, as well as to products in the marketplace.
