Autism and Behavioural Sciences

Course Description

This program gives you a firm grounding in Behavioural Strategies and Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA) principles and will prepare you to work with both children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in therapeutic and school-based settings. The curriculum teaches students about the range of evidence-based practices in autism treatment, the characteristics of the full spectrum of ASD, as well as how to design, implement and evaluate behavioural strategies. Graduates will be prepared to work as Behavioural Technicians in therapeutic and educational environments as part of a treatment team supervised by a Behaviour Analyst and/or Psychologist.
