Course Description

Biomedical engineering combines the study of fundamental biological and physiological processes and the study of engineering methods. Program Specializations The program offers three areas of specialization: Bioinstrumentation, Biomechanics, and Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering. Accelerated Option Students in NJIT's Albert Dorman Honors College interested in applying to medical or dental school after graduation may earn an Accelerated BS in Biomedical Engineering degree in three years. Students not in the Honors College interested in applying to medical or dental school after graduation may earn an Accelerated BS in Engineering Science with Concentration in Biomedical Engineering for Pre-Health through NJIT's Engineering Science Program.
