Course Description

Diploma in Electronics Level 6 is designed to develop a range of general engineering skills and specialised knowledge in electronics. The programme equips students with skills for employing specialised knowledge, in-depth analysis and evaluation of a wide range of information as well as formulation of appropriate responses to resolve concrete and abstract problems faced at the workplace. Students will obtain professional knowledge and practical skills in one of the three specialisations. In this specialisation students will obtain the practical skills and knowledge that telecommunication technicians need to have in order to operate, maintain and repair telecommunication equipment, system management etc. The emphasis will be more on practical aspects of maintenance and repair of telecommunications components, equipment and the associated electronics. The course papers are designed to develop a sound theoretical understanding of the fundamentals along with the necessary skills for the industrial and commercial sectors.
