Course Description

The Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design focuses on the generation of ideas and the creative ways they can be visually communicated across a range of print and digital media. Throughout the degree students will master industry specific software, critical design thinking, visual problem solving and authentic production techniques through a range of industry relevant projects. In the final year students will work with real world clients and develop a portfolio encompassing both print (branding and publication design) as well as digital environments (web and mobile app design) for a dynamic and rapidly changing global industry. In the Bachelor of Arts you will develop a broad understanding of your field and proficiency in producing written and oral arguments and creative artifacts in response to social, human and natural phenomena. You will also develop a critical appreciation of the perspectives of others. As an Arts graduate you will be able to think critically and creatively, apply knowledge and information, and communicate effectively. These are professional skills which are critical across a range of industries. You will also be able to pursue further study in the fields of social research, the humanities and/or the creative arts.
