Course 6-1: Electrical Science and Engineering (Note: Old Curriculum) SHARE: lab for 6.111 Introductory Digital Systems Laboratory. The new 6-1 curriculum may be selected by students in the classes of 2017, 2018, and 2019, and must be selected by the class of 2020 and beyond. Electrical Science and Engineering (6-1) majors study circuits and devices, materials and nanotechnology, communications, control and signal processing, and applied physics. Electrical Science and Engineering (VI-1) majors must complete the General Institute Requirements, the Communication Requirement, and the departmental requirements as they appear in the 6-1 Degree chart below.
