Student Studying BiologyA major in biology will automatically fulfill the requirements for admission to almost all graduate programs as well as most medical, dental, and veterinary schools. The 129 credit Bachelor of Arts degree provides a foundation that can be applied to diverse work settings. This degree program covers the fundamentals of biology with opportunities to explore a wide range of subjects such as primate anatomy, human genetics, the plant kingdom, marine biology and microbiology. The B.A. in Biology is excellent preparation for careers in science or the health professions, and forms a solid foundation for graduate study.
