Course Description

The department of Hospitality and Tourism Management is dedicated to providing students the highest level of instruction in preparation for careers in the hospitality and tourism industry. In addition to courses that are designed to give instruction specific to the industry, students complete a variety of liberal arts and management courses to ensure their ability to become meaningful contributors in a variety of organizations. For students who are interested in pursuing a baccalaureate degree, the Hospitality and Tourism Management Department offers a concentration as part of the Bachelor of Science in Management degree. Students enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Management with a concentration in Hospitality and Tourism Management complete an additional two years of coursework. Upper-level courses in Hospitality, Tourism and Business Management precede a required internship.
