The Child and Youth Worker program prepares individuals to provide care and treatment for children and youth experiencing emotional, behavioural, social and mental health challenges. This education and training combines both an academic facet with comprehensive and varied field experience.

Graduates are employed by agencies or institutions designed to meet a range of mental health needs of disturbed children or adolescents. Such places include group homes, correctional services, residential treatment centres, children's aid societies, boards of education, community resource centres and hospitals.
