The Bachelor of Science in Computational Mathematics is an applied mathematics program intended to prepare graduates to work in aerospace and related industries or to prepare for graduate studies in advanced mathematics, physical sciences, engineering or computer science. The degree includes an area of concentration that reflects the individual student’s interests and career goals in fields like systems engineering, computer science, business and finance or space physics. Seniors also get a chance to work with a team on an interdisciplinary project. This degree program integrates mathematical modeling, computing and visualization to solve complex problems that arise in the physical, natural, and behavioral sciences as well as engineering.
