Course Description

Music is a diverse and exciting subject area, constantly evolving and pushing boundaries. The MA (Hons) Music embraces that spirit of diversity enabling you to study music in all its forms. From day one, you'll find yourself immersed in music. You'll explore its role, value and diversity in modern society. You'll consider its relationship to the other arts and view it from a wide range of perspectives; examining it scientifically, culturally, critically and historically. At the same time, you'll develop your own practical musicianship through performance workshops involving ensemble and improvisation. Study the MA (Hons) Music and you'll develop skills that will prepare you for a wide-range of music-related occupations in the creative arts, education and media.
