The African-American Studies minor is an independent, interdisciplinary academic program. The minor allows students to gain a greater understanding of the experiences of African-American peoples in the United States. Through an interdisciplinary approach, students will gain a broader sense of what it means to be an "American" and to live in an ethnically diverse country. Students may obtain a minor in African-American Studies in conjunction with a major in any area of study.
