Course Description

Welcome to the website of the Department of Civil Engineering and Construction Management. The department offers 3 programs: Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management and a Masters of Science degree in Structural Engineering. CSUN’s academic programs are accredited by Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). Our BS degree program in Civil Engineering is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) of Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET), while the BS degree program in Construction Management is accredited by American Council for Construction Education (ACCE). The programs are designed to provide the graduate a sound civil engineering and construction management education to better prepare them for the professional practice of civil engineering and construction management. The department has a strong advisement, mentoring and tutoring system to better facilitate the success and prompt graduation of the students. Our senior design courses insure that the graduates experience real engineering and construction management projects. Student chapters of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) are very active and attend regional and national competitions.
