The Master of Engineering prepares students for a specialised career in the fast-growing Electrical Power and Telecommunications industries with a strong emphasis on real-world problem-solving and international trends. Students acquire specialised skills through a combination of coursework, design exercises and research, with the opportunity to develop and implement innovative telecommunication and power distribution solutions.

This industry-relevant course prepares students for a career in power generation, transmission, distribution, management and control (Electrical Power specialisation); or managing, designing and developing telecommunication network systems (Telecommunications specialisation). Job titles include: Instrument Designer Energy Economist Telecommunications Engineer Telecommunications Network Engineer Power Engineer Supervisor Power Project Coordinator. Graduates can find employment in a range of organisations including telecommunications operators and equipment manufacturers; microelectronic and electronic design companies; and power generation and distribution corporations.
