The BA, major in Geography, introduces students to the different sub-fields of Human, Physical, and Techniques Geography. Students completing this major have the opportunity to specialize in one or more of these, and to pursue original, lab- and field-based research. Geography majors can also choose to combine program options in a number of ways, such as by combining a concentration with a co-operative education designation, or an Honours degree with a certificate. Geography students graduate with a broad skillset in both the Arts and Sciences, and this positions them for a wide and exciting diversity of career opportunities. Many geography students choose to continue their education into more specialized fields, e.g. Planning or Education, while most move directly into the workforce.
