Course Description

The study of Māori Media and Communication explores indigenous expression across new and emerging communication practices including social media, Māori broadcasting, film and creative performing arts. When you study Māori Media and Communication you'll gain an understanding of traditional and contemporary forms of Māori communication. You'll explore the historical, political, cultural and social contexts of media and communication practices and how these relate to and interact with Māori communities and Māori cultural preferences.
