This specialisation focuses on the understanding and manipulation of microbial pathways that influence the natural environment. Students will gain an understanding of the important role microorganisms play in underpinning the environmental process, their role in nutrient and carbon cycling and their importance in bioremediation, soil fertility, eutrophication and waste disposal.
