Our MSc Satellite Applications is a globally unique Masters degree which addresses the UN Sustainable Development Goals through satellite applications, entrepreneurship and data science. It was developed in partnership with: UK Space Agency Scottish Centre of Excellence in Satellite Applications (SoXSA) South African National Space Agency (SANSA) Council for Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) (executive bodies of the South African Government Department of Science and Technology (DST)) partners in Namibia and Kenya The programme offers training in satellite data acquisition, processing, interpretation, and application. Additionally, the course provides a focus on data science and entrepreneurship skills, requiring you to register a new business whilst studying for the MSc, and to develop a business plan to support it using the UN Sustainable Development Goals as a broad range of global challenges to provide a basis for this plan. This is a novel and unique opportunity to acquire specialist skills in satellite applications that will significantly enhance your skillsets, ultimately enabling you to become a global entrepreneur. This MSc in Satellite Applications has an optional Data Science specialist stream for those wishing to acquire more advanced skills in big data applications.
