The MRes is a research-based Masters degree that offers specialised training in specific areas. The difference between the MRes and an MSc is that you'll spend more time on a lab-based project, and the final assessment (a thesis) and final award is closer to that for a PhD. This degree is delivered by the Strathclyde Institute of Pharmacy & Biomedical Sciences and offers a vibrant research environment for postgraduate training. The taught part of your degree will increase your understanding of general scientific skills like statistics, ethics, and effective communication, while also increasing your knowledge in your specific subject through lectures and workshops.
