The world is looking for new ways to treat disease and repair damaged organs. Stem cell and regenerative medicine is driving the search. The industry is embracing new technologies. Specialists are in demand. This course will give you the theoretical background and the skills you need for a career in the field. You'll learn from leading researchers and hone your skills with a research project of your own, based in our world-famous Centre for Stem Cell Biology. There are lectures, practical classes, tutorials and seminars. In small groups, you'll discuss, debate and present on scientific and ethical topics. You'll get one-to-one time with staff and training to support your research project. Between October and May, you'll take modules and work on the literature review for your research project. From June onwards, you will be working full-time on your project. You're assessed by a combination of exams, coursework, debates, presentations and a dissertation.
