MA Religion, Conflict and the Media

Course Description

This course examines the role of religion and religious language in the media, especially in relation to violence and conflict. We look at television, newspapers, websites, blogs and social media. You'll develop cultural studies research skills and learn how to analyse content with reference to critical theory. Classes are small, so everyone gets the chance to contribute. You'll research and write an extended dissertation on a topic of your choice.
