Electronic engineering powers everything from domestic appliances to space exploration. Advances in this field drive progress in other areas of science and engineering. This course gives you a grounding in the principles. You will also study specific systems: their functionality, performance and limitations. You choose the subjects you want to specialise in and carry out your own research project, supported by a member of staff. All our modules are taught by academics at the forefront of research in their specialist fields, which include high-performance nanostructure devices and next-gen communication and radar systems. You'll be assessed on coursework, exams and a project dissertation.
