As nuclear power becomes increasingly important in the production of low carbon electricity there is growing demand for skilled nuclear engineers. This degree has been designed in consultation with the nuclear industry to meet this need. You'll gain a broad knowledge and understanding of mechanical engineering by following the MEng Mechanical Engineering in the first two years. In years three and four you'll have the opportunity to specialise in nuclear engineering through taught modules and an individual and group design project focusing on nuclear technology.

Our graduates have gone on to careers in manufacturing, transport, power generation or engineering consultancies. Many work with prestigious companies such as Rolls-Royce, Airbus, Atkins, Siemens, Arup, Jaguar Land Rover, Interfleet Technology, Network Rail and Transport for London.
