You'll spend your third year studying mechanical engineering in Italy. Modules also explore the role of engineering in business and management, and you can specialise in your area of interest with an extended individual project. At levels one and two, you'll study the fundamentals of mechanical engineering, mathematics and management. Italian language modules at an appropriate level prepare you for your third year at Politecnico di Torino, where you'll study an agreed set of mechanical engineering courses. Modules: what you study and when About dual honours and major/minor degrees Financial help from the University - bursaries If you're a UK student, you could be entitled to a University bursary. You'll develop the skills and qualities employers look for, such as problem solving, initiative and the ability to adapt to new technologies. Our students have the chance to get involved in a range of extra-curricular activities. For example, Formula Student - an annual engineering competition - sees student teams from around the world design, build, test and race a single-seat racing car. Modern Languages Teaching Centre Right from the start you'll work with the school's top specialists. Language teaching requires a small-group approach, so you'll get to know your tutors well. You can join one of our student societies. Each is organised around a language or a group of languages. You'll be able to get involved in language-related plays, concerts, sports competitions and volunteering events. Your option modules are offered by the individual departments of French, Germanic Studies, Hispanic Studies, and Russian and Slavonic Studies. In a few cases, such as linguistics, modules are run by departments jointly. See departments' course entries for an idea of what each of them offers. What our graduates do Our graduates have gone on to careers in manufacturing, transport, power generation or engineering consultancies. Many work with prestigious companies such as Rolls-Royce, Airbus, Atkins, Siemens, Arup, Jaguar Land Rover, Interfleet Technology, Network Rail and Transport for London. Student profile "What I liked about mechanical engineering was the fact that it incorporated the maths and physics as well as the design part so I get to be really creative which is really good fun."
