This course combines the study of core mechanical engineering topics with language modules. You'll spend your third year studying mechanical engineering in Germany. Modules also explore the role of engineering in business and management, and you can specialise in your area of interest with an extended individual project. At levels one and two, you'll study the fundamentals of mechanical engineering, mathematics and management. German language modules at an appropriate level prepare you for your third year at either Rhur Universität Bochum or Technische Universität Dresden, where you'll study an agreed set of mechanical engineering courses.

Our graduates have gone on to careers in manufacturing, transport, power generation or engineering consultancies. Many work with prestigious companies such as Rolls-Royce, Airbus, Atkins, Siemens, Arup, Jaguar Land Rover, Interfleet Technology, Network Rail and Transport for London.
