You need a modern language A Level for this degree. You'll take modules in your chosen language alongside the same technical core as our other degrees. At level three, you'll study abroad at one of our partner universities in France, Germany or Spain. Core topics in this broad course include power systems, power electronics, electrical machines and drives, motion control systems and energy utilisation. Your study will cover theoretical and practical aspects of electrical engineering. You'll choose optional modules from our other degrees, depending on your interests.

Our graduates work in electrical, electronic, software, systems, information and manufacturing engineering. They take challenging roles in research, design, development and testing, management, production, marketing and sales. Many join the larger electronics companies, but there are other engineering options, as well as non-technical jobs in the business world.
