Our courses are flexible. You choose your own degree through a blend of core and optional modules and a major project. Levels one and two are the same for all courses, after which you'll specialise based on your interests. You're generally not tied to the degree you originally registered for. Core topics in this broad course include power systems, power electronics, electrical machines and drives, motion control systems and energy utilisation. Your study will cover theoretical and practical aspects of electrical engineering. You'll choose optional modules from our other degrees, depending on your interests. This MEng degree satisfies the academic criteria for CEng status.

Many join the larger electronics companies, but there are other engineering options, as well as non-technical jobs in the business world.
